I. NGUYÊN LIỆU

Yarnart Jeans (55% cotton, 45% acrylic; 160 m / 50 g) in beige, blue, yellow, white, black and gray colors

Some black thread for lashes

2.25 mm crochet hook

Doll hairpiece (about 15 cm long)

9 mm safety eyes

Fiberfill for stuffing

Scissors and tapestry needle

If you use specified yarn and hook, your crochet doll will be about 28 cm (11”) tall.

Instructions on face embroidering:
– Embroider a nose with beige yarn between Rnd 15 and Rnd 16. The width of the nose is 2 stitches.
– Embroider a mouth with pink or red yarn between Rnd 18 and Rnd 19. The width of the mouth is about 6 stitches.
– Embroider lashes with black thread in the corners of the eyes.

Hat (Mũ)
Crochet with yellow yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]

Join the yarn on other side of the hat and crochet the second ear cover in the same way. Take into account that there are 14 st between the ear covers at the back and there are 18 st between them at the front.

When you finish making the ear covers, crochet along the edge of the hat one round with single crochet stitches and the second round with slip stitches. Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing.

Goggle strap: (Dây mũ)
Crochet with black yarn in turning rows.

Eyes and goggles (make 2): (Mắt và kính bảo hộ)
Start crocheting with black yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]

Change to white yarn.

Crochet with black yarn. Don’t stuff.

Cut off the yarn, fasten off, hide the tail.

Arms (make 2): (Tay)
Crochet with black yarn. Stuff as you go (stuff the hand firmly and the rest of the arm slightly).

Rnd 4-7 [4 rounds]: sc in all 14 st [14]

Flatten the edges and crochet sc in next 6 st through both layers, thus closing the hole. Fasten off.

You can attach the arms to the body in two ways: with sewing needle or with the help of your hook while crocheting the body (like you attached the thumb). If you’re going to sew the arms, leave a tail for sewing.

Cuffs (make 2): (Cổ tay áo)
Crochet with black yarn.
Join the yarn to one of the front loops of Rnd 11 (they’re left after crocheting Rnd 12 of the arm).
Rnd 1: ch, sc in all 12 st, sl st [12]
Rnd 2-3: sc in all 12 st [12]
Finish with sl st. Fasten off and weave in the end.

Legs (make 2): (Chân)

Start crocheting with black yarn. Stuff as you go (the shoe is stuffed firmly).
Row 1: 9 ch [9]
Rnd 2: start from second ch from hook: inc, sc in next 6 st, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 6 st, inc [19]
Rnd 3: inc, sc in next 7 st, 3 sc in next st, sc in next st, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 7 st, inc [25]
Rnd 4: inc, sc in next 9 st, inc, sc in next st, 3 sc in next st, sc in next st, inc, sc in next 9 st, inc [31]
Rnd 5: sc in all 31 st in back loops only [31]
Row 6-8: sc in all 31 st [31]

For first leg:
Rnd 37: sc in next 10 st. Make sure that the leg ends up at the middle point of the inner thigh. Fasten off and weave in the end.
For second leg:
Rnd 37: sc in next 20 st. Don’t fasten off, continue crocheting: 1 ch, sc in next 10 st of first leg, starting from the stitch which follows after the last stitch of the first leg. Mark the next stitch as the beginning of new round of the body. Don’t cut off the yarn. You will continue working on the body after making the boot tops.

Boot top (make 2): (Giày)
Crochet with black yarn. Attach yarn to a front loop of Rnd 11 of the leg.
Rnd 1: 1 ch, sc in next 22 st, join with sl st.
Rnd 2-4: sc in all 22 st [22]
Finish with sl st. Fasten off and weave in the end.

Body: (Thân)
Continue working with yellow yarn. Stuff as you go.
Rnd 1: sc in next 10 st, sc in next ch, sc in next 20 st, sc in next ch (opposite side), sc in the next 10 st [42]
Rnd 2-10 [9 rounds]: sc in all 42 st [42]
Rnd 11: (sc in next 5 st, dec) repeat 6 times [36]
Rnd 12-13: sc in all 36 st [36]
Rnd 14: (sc in next 4 st, dec) repeat 6 times [30]
Rnd 15-16: sc in all 30 st [30]
Rnd 17: (sc in next 3 st, dec) repeat 6 times [24]

If you’re going to sew the arms to the body, then continue crocheting:

If you’ve decided to attach the arms while making the body, then follow these instructions:
Pin the arms to the body keeping in mind the symmetry in relation to the body and legs.
Crochet Rnds 23-24 together with the last stitches of the arms.
Rnd 23: sc in next 6 st, sc in the next 6 st of both body and arm, sc in next 4 st, sc in the next 2 st of both body and another arm [18]
Rnd 24: sc in next 4 st of both body and another arm, sc in next 14 sc [18]
Rnd 25: sc in next 4 st. Finish with sl st. Cut off the yarn, fasten off, hide the tail.

Overalls: (Yếm)
Crochet with blue yarn.
Rnd 1: 45 ch, join with sl st to make a circle [45]
Rnd 2: sc in all 45 st [45]
Rnd 3-6 [4 rounds]: 2 ch, exsc in all 45 st, join with sl st [45]

Make 5 ch, count 22 st and crochet sl st in 23rd st, thus dividing into two equal parts. Continue crocheting the first trouser leg.

The first trouser leg: (Chân yếm thứ 1)
Rnd 9: 1 ch, exsc in next 23 st, exsc in next 5 ch (seizing one of the loops of each chain) [28]
Rnd 10-19: [10 rounds]: exsc in the next 28 st [28]
Rnd 20: sc in next 27 st, sl st in next st [28]
Fasten off and weave in the end.

The second trouser leg:(Chân yếm thứ 2)
Come back to the bridge of 5 ch between the trouser legs, and join blue yarn in the middle (to 3rd ch).
Rnd 9: 1 ch, exsc in next 23 st, exsc in next 5 ch (seizing the remaining loops) [28]
Rnd 10-19: [10 rounds]: exsc in the next 28 st [28]
Rnd 20: sc in next 27 st, sl st in next st [28]
Fasten off and weave in the end.

Front part of the overalls: (Mặt trước thân yếm)
Mark the middle point of the front part of the overalls. Count 6 st from it (excluding the central stitch) and join blue yarn. Crochet in turning rows.
Row 1: 2 ch (counted as one exsc), exsc in next 12 st [13]
Row 2: 1 ch, dec, exsc in next 9 st, dec [11]
Row 3: 1 ch, dec, exsc in next 7 st, dec [9]
Row 4: 1 ch, dec, exsc in next 5 st, dec [7]
Row 5: 1 ch, sl st in next 7 st, don’t fasten off, continue crocheting sl st along the side of the front part, along the back part of the overalls, then again along the other side of the front part, finishing at the beginning of Row 5.

Pocket:(Túi trước ngực yếm)
Crochet with blue yarn in turning rows.
Row 1: 5 ch [5]
Row 2: 1 ch, inc, sc in next 3 st, inc [7]
Row 3: 1 ch, sc in next 7 st [7]
Row 4: 1 ch, inc, sc in next 5 st, inc [9]
Crochet sc along the edges of the pocket. Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing.

Embroider stitches on the pocket and on the overalls with beige or light brown thread like it’s shown on the picture. Sew the pocket to the front part of the overalls.

Straps: (dây yếm)
Mark the middle point of the back part of the overalls. Count 4 stitches to the right (excluding the central stitch), join blue yarn and crochet in turning rows:
Row 1: 1 ch, sc in all 3 st [3]
Rnd 2-27 [26 rounds]: 1 ch, sc in all 3 st [3]
Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing.
Count 4 stitches to the left from the marked middle point of the back and crochet the second strap in the same way. There are 3 stitches between the straps.

Assembly:
1. Sew the head to the body. Stuff the neck firmly before you finish.
2. Sew the arms to the body between Rnd 23 and Rnd 24. Skip this step, if you have already attached the arms.
3. Sew the hairpiece to the head 3-4 rounds above the eyes.
4. Put the hat on the head, sew it 2 rounds above the eyes.
5. Sew the goggle strap around the hat between Rnds 10 and 14 (don’t join the edges, there should be an empty space at the front). Sew the goggles to that empty space at the front.
6. Embroider the mouth on the hat between Rnd 15 and Rnd 17 (the width is about 4 st).
7. Make two ropes at the ends of ear covers.

8. Put on the overalls and sew the straps to the front part.
